In 2019, we started a new series at The Great Courses called “This Day in History.” Each episode introduces an important event in history, and features a short clip from a Great Courses lecture.

In addition to writing many of the introductions in this series, I’ve also voiced several of them. Here’s a running list (click the title to link to the video):

April 22, 1509: King Henry VIII Begins His Reign

June 16, 1904: Bloomsday

July 27, 1953: The Korean War Ends

August 6, 1945: The United States Drops the First Atomic Bomb

August 24, AD 79: Mount Vesuvius Destroys Pompeii

I also voiced the opening credits of Learning French: A Rendez-Vous with French-Speaking Culture.
